Welcome to our online shop full of the plants you'd love to have at home.

Welovetropicalplants is small family nursery in south Italy, in the small village San Sebastiano al Vesuvio close to Naples.

Our team consists only from two persons: Gianluca and Jana. Gianluca is an agronomist with more than 20 years of experiences of growing the orchids and he transfer his knowledge and passion into the growing tropical plants. Gianluca is responsible of the production, the quality and health of the plants. Jana is responsible of the sales, marketing and the customer service.

WHAT ARE WE GROWING

  • the main product of our portfolio is Monstera deliciosa variegata albo (monstera deliciosa albo small form, not correctly called monstera borsigiana), our plants are grown from the cuttings of the motherplants with over 40 years of the age, and we dare to say we have very special and unique genetics.
  • the second largest item of our production is Philodendron pink princess (philodendron erubescens)
  • among additionally items are other philodendron (verrucosum, ring of fire, billietiae), anthurium (crystallinum, clarinervium, polyschistum, vittarifolium)
  • aspidistra = cast iron plant - less known plant, but in recent years it has become more and more popular (A. elatior variegata, A. elatior asahi, A. elatior akebono, A. elatior hoshi zora, A. milky way) 


WHY TO BUY OUR PLANTS

  • you are buying EXACT plant - you will get the plant what you see in the pictures (if it is not written else)
  • all the plants are grown by us, from the cuttings or bulbs, we don't offer any plant produced in laboratory, known as tissue culture (except Monstera deliciosa Thai constellation and variegated Alocasias)
  • we sell only well rooted and established plants
  • the plants come from our own nursery and our own greenhouse, they are used to grow in these conditions: temperature range 20-24 degrees, humidity: 70-80 %, intensity of the light: 200-300 par
  • quality and healthy products with perfect dna
  • our plants get only natural light: the average annual amount of sunhours is 2378 hours of sun 

FAQ about the shipping

HOW MUCH DOES THE SHIPPING COST?

ITALY:
For all orders above 80 euro the shiping is for FREE (we ship with GLS) or
GLS: 8,5 euro
The shipment rate are not valid for islands and difficult destination, these are on demand or we could kindly ask for extra payment of the difference.

EU COUNTRIES:
For all orders above 100 euro the shipping is for FREE (we ship with GLS) or
DHL Express: up to the request
DHL Standard: 25 euro
GLS International: 13,9 euro 
The shipment rate are not valid for islands and difficult destination, these are on demand or we could kindly ask for extra payment of the difference. For the shipping to some countries out from EU we could kindly ask extra payment for the shipping.

USA, CANADA, MEXICO and other countries out from EUROPE:
DHL: 90 euro (in the case of order more than 3 plants or any big plant please contact us by email to welovetropicalplants@gmail.com, the price could be changed).

WHEN I WILL GET MY ORDER?

ITALY:
24/48 hours from shipping of the package (the time is not valid for island and the places difficult to reach).

EU COUNTRIES:
24/72 hours from shipping of the package with DHL EXPRESS (up to the request).
3-7 days from shipping of the package with GLS or DHL Standard (the destinations difficult to reach or far away up to 10 days). 

SWITZERLAND, UNITED KINGDOM: 
3-7 days from shipping of the package.

USA, MEXICO, CANADA:
up to 7 days from shipping of the package. 

Pick-up is possible only after the previous confirmation.

Other countries: up to the request.

WHEN IS MY ORDER READY TO BE SHIPPED?

ITALY :
GLS, we ship mainly on Mondays and Tuesdays.

EU COUNTRIES:
DHL Standard, DHL EXPRESS o GLS, we ship mainly on Mondays.

SWITZERLAND, UNITED KINGDOM:
DHL Standard, we ship mainly on Mondays.

HOW WILL BE THE PLANTS PACKAGED?

We ship only healthy plants, the plants are shipped in the same pot and the same medium specified in the listing of each plant. The plants are packed in cotton, if possible each leaf separately, protected with the bamboo stick against moving in the cartoon box, mainly we are using double wrapped boxes. 

During cold period we pack the plant in extra layer of pluriball and we ship qith Heatpack (for free).

Shipping out of Europe: we provide phytosanitary certificate (the price is included in the shipping), the plants are shipped bare root, or bare root with sphagnum (depend on the kind of the plant). The phytosanitary certificate we organise for fridays and we are shipping on mondays.
